'A world where all women are respected and can fully experience life'
'Leading the way for Victorian women with disabilities and improving women’s choices by building partnerships and providing support, information and community education.'
We are a network of women with disabilities in Victoria with a diverse and growing membership. Our members have a range of disabilities, backgrounds, lifestyles, and ages. We are united in working towards our vision 'a world where all women are respected and can fully experience life'.
We have a VWDN Board which is elected by our members. The Board is responsible for the strategic direction of the VWDN. Decisions about the direction of VWDN work are made together by consulting with members each year. The VWDN Board is led by the VWDN Chair. The VWDN Board also has advisors on governance and law.
The VWDN promotes the health and wellbeing of women with disabilities. It does this by supporting women with disabilities to achieve their rights through information sharing, peer support and community education.
